У недељу Мироносица, 4. маја 2025. године, парохија Светог великомученика и победоносца Георгија у Клирвотеру, прославила је свој престони празник – храмовну славу.
У духу пасхалне радости, свету Литургију служио је надлежни свештеник – протонамесник Милош Ждралић, уз саслужење протонамесника Драган Жарића, пароха при цркви Светог Саве у Сент Питерзбургу, протојереја Милана Јовановића из Клирвотера, као и ђакона Сретена Станојевића. Одговарао је храмовни хор под вођством протинице Жељке Јовановић. Апостол су читали господин Гјорги Стојанов и његова жена Марта.
Кум – домаћин овогодишње славе био је господин Матеја Настић са својом породицом, родитељима и сестром.
После заамвоне молитве учињена је литија око храма уз читање васкрсних Јеванђеља и узношење молитава за град, храм, епископа, верни народ, али и за мир света, погодну климу, опроштај свих наших грехова и упокојење храмовних ктитора и све браће и сестара.
На завршетку литије, пререзан и славски колач, у чему су учествовала и бројна деца. Четвртину славског колача и кумство за следећу годину примио је господин Витомир Терзић, члан Грађевинског одбора Црквено-школске општине.
За све присутне припремљена је свечана трпеза у црквеној сали. Чланови парохијског хора, као и кореографи и деца из фолклорне групе Бистра Вода, припремили су богат програм представљајући лепе црквене и народне песме и традиционалне народне игре.
CELEBRATION OF PATRONAL FEAST DAY IN CLEARWATER
On the Sunday of the Holy Myrrhbearing Women, May 4, 2025, the parish of the Holy Great-Martyr and Victory-Bearer George in Clearwater celebrated its Patronal Feast Day – Slava.
In the spirit of Paschal joy, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the parish priest, Presbyter-Economos Milosh Zdralic. Concelebrating with Fr. Milosh were Presbyter-Economos Dragan Zaric, parish priest at St. Sava Church in St. Petersburg; Protopresbyter Milan Jovanovic of Clearwater, FL; and Deacon Sreten Stanojevic. Liturgical responses were rendered by the parish choir under the direction of Protinica Željka Jovanovic. The Epistle was read by the parish reader, Mr. Gjorgi Stojanov, and his wife, Martha.
The host (kum) of this year’s celebration was Mr. Mateja Nastic, together with his parents and sister.
After the prayer behind the ambo, a procession around the church was held, during which the Resurrectional Gospels were read, along with prayers for the city, the parish church, our bishop, the faithful people, and for world peace, seasonable weather, the forgiveness of sins, and the repose of the founders of this parish and all departed brothers and sisters.
At the conclusion of the procession, the Slava gifts of wheat (koljivo), wine, and festal bread (slavski kolač) were blessed, with many children participating. Mr. Vitomir Terzic, a member of the Building Committee of the Church-School Congregation, received a quarter of the festal bread and accepted the honor of being next year’s Slava host.
Father Zaric addressed the faithful, offering congratulations on the Feast Day and invoking God’s blessings on all.
A festive luncheon was prepared for all in the church hall. Members of the parish choir, as well as choreographers and children from the folklore group Bistra Voda, presented a delightful program featuring a mix of beautiful songs and traditional folk dances.
